He hasn't posted on Twitter in 2 weeks. He hasn't been on the forums in >2 weeks. The beta (1.6) is expiring in less than 1 day with no update/renewal seemingly forthcoming.

It still is christmas time, maybe he's spending some time off the internet, with his offline friends and family.
