I am very glad to see numpy available in Pythonista, hurray!
Just wondering if anyone managed to install pandas 0.14 successfully at Pythonista using pipista 2.0?

I started playing with this last night and got no where. I'm quite keen to get basic pandas functionality working: dataframes, series, import/export to sqlite, import export html, import/export Excel. Don't necessarily need the rest.

Is Cython a critical dependency for getting pandas working?

I played with this and I don't think that Cython is a requirement but there is some c code (e.g. hashtable.c).

It would be great if this could be run under Pythonista.

Having numpy and matplotlib in pythonista is brilliant. Building on that and having pandas too would make it sublime. Having this would make data hacking really accessible in our civic hackathons. Currently we ask people to install anaconda on their PC or Mac.

http://computableapp.com already comes with a full-featured SciPy stack... Numpy, SciPy, SymPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, it's all there, native extensions included.

@omz, I don't know what your timeline on releasing 1.6 is, but I was wondering whether pandas might make it in there. I have also sent a couple of beta testing requests to the support email over the last month, with no response; are you still looking for people to test 1.6 beta?

pandas + seaborn would be amazing additions to Pythonista. so much potential for prototyping data products on iOS with those libraries in place.

@omz Is there any likelihood of seeing Pandas support in the near future?

@omz can you say whether Pandas is a likely addition to Pythonista in the near term?

@omz I presume that Pandas did not make it into v2.0? Any chance of seeing this in the future?

I don't remember pandas being in the beta, so I assume it won't be in 2.0 either.

+1 vote for getting pandas on Pythonista! This is probably the ONLY reason why I haven't bought the app yet! I do so much stuff with pandas, seaborn, bokeh ...

I just bought Pythonista and I have just discovered that for my need it is useless, due to the lack of pandas and scipy. Hopefully the programmer will be able soon to integrate these modules.
