Good eveving people. I have yet a simple question, and that being, is this App being Actively Supported by the Developer??

I ask this, because I have seen that it hasn't been updated, since June 2014. That means there wasn't a update for iOS 8 and now iOS 9 is coming into play, and with multitasking and SplitView for the iPad Air 2, I would like to know if the Dev is active with this, and maybe even update it to use the SplitView features.

The other reason is, I don't like buying Apps that are at a blockade in the road, and will never see future updates coming in. I suspect, if this was built with auto layout, then it will be easy to do, and would make this App front and Centre with Transmit for iOS, but I still want to ask the question, before outlaying the $$

      Appreciate any replies.

      Cheers

      TM

It is, don't worry. Search forums where you can apply for beta. Actually it doesn't make sense to apply because AFAIK release is around the corner. But for future betas, why not :)

Don't worry, Ole the dev is like that. Editorial 1.1 seemed too late as well. When it came out was great.

Ole Zorn, the developer of Editorial, is working hard on fixing the bugs in 1.2 right now. Check out his Twitter page for the most timely updates. 1.2 is currently in the open beta phase, with the official release imminent. I don't know if Zorn has any TestFlight beta slots open, but you can email him about joining the beta with your Apple ID. Just so you know, though, Zorn is supposedly rejecting beta requests at this time because he is about to submit the update to Apple for further review. I would just wait for the App Store version to come along because Zorn is usually very generous when giving out beta invites and if he is rejecting requests on the grounds that the release is around the corner, it probably is around the corner. I know from experience that Zorn really takes his time in the beta stages so he can be sure that there are no bugs and the app is as polished as can be. If you are still cautious about buying Editorial after checking out his Twitter page, I would recommend just waiting for 1.2 to hit the App Store and then purchasing it.

Not only does the dev support his apps still, he answers questions on here quite frequently. I believe editorial and pythonista are his main focus...
