Maybe I am the last person in the world to do this. But after reading other posts about the unread badges, I have been using that page. It's a good way to see quickly all posts. It's not so easy from the home screen.
Then while on that page in Safari, I just added it to the home screen. So convenient, to see new posts.
I have used this functionality many times for other sites. Sometimes we just over look the obvious.

Agreed. I knew it had a good meaning but it didn't make sense at first. Good tip, thanks.

I also like the notification badge at the top right of the forum (bell icon). Seems to be a more "direct" notification about "my" specific comments. Like people I follow etc...

@donnieh, the notifications are ok. But when you brought up the topic of the unread badge, I started to look at it. Was just an annoyance to me before. But so nice to see all responses and keep up. I had been missing some replies before. I know, it's pretty obvious, but how many times have we not see people use obvious features as a delevoper envisioned them.

I'm not very active at posting here, but a very interested reader, so I have found the notifications as my main way of browsing this forum for some time now.

It's my primary method as well.

I am not sure if you guys are looking via a computer or on iOS device. I find the notifications menu clunky on iOS. I hardly look at the forum from my desktop. Anyway, does not really matter. Whatever works best

you know what would be awesome? A Pythonista IRC channel (or slack channel). That way I could bother you all IMMEDIATELY for help :)

Oh, one thing to mention about this tip. If you create a bookmark on your home screen, it's not so easy to navigate, also if replying to a post and leave and come back I got thrown out if the edit. however, when I clicked on reply on the same post, my edit was still there. A little funky.
