Offline Issues

I had a flight this morning and wrote for a couple of hours. Once I reconnected, there were two Markdown files in my Dropbox: one with the original file name (I had actually renamed the file on the flight), and one with "(Chris Ryan's conflicted copy)" appended. Both seem to have the old text in them. Where is my new text? I really, really hope it isn't lost.

Please check "Show Deleted Files…" (under Settings ("gear" icon) > Advanced).

There's just one file there, a much older version of the problematic file.

As I've received no reply to this, I assume there's no other possible fix?
How do I know this won't happen again in future? Is there any way to prevent it happening? It's hard to trust the app now.
