I've been wondering for a while if there are any plans to release any more updates for Pythonista. I can't help but notice that the current version was released for iOS 13 which is going to be 2 years old in a few months. Not only that, but the version of python in Pythonista (3.6) is quite old now too. My question is whether or not Pythonista will ever be updated to support things like the mouse and keyboard support from iPadOS 14, and a newer version of Python.

https://pyto.app might be a better solution for you.

@ccc I could use that but I've already paid for Pythonista and really like it aside from the things that I mentioned before

Yes, I understand your point of view. I have purchased both. I use Pyto when I need modern Python with up-to-date dependencies. If I do not need these things, then I use Pythonista.

@Shock9616 I don't have an iPad mouse, but what happens when you use one with pythonista? Reading through the docs, it seems like it might just work, or, if not we could simply swizzle the appropriate delegate method to enable it.

Bluetooth Keyboard is supported in pythonista-- is there something specific that isn't working?

Dont hold your breath. What feature in 3.8 are you desperately missing?

Yes that is true newer version of python are out and their is Pyto but pythonista UI is very polished or intuitive. I mean it’s make things easy to your code on iPhone or iPad
