Since I deleted Pythonista and lost the files on my old iPad, I am wondering if there is an easy way to move a large group of files from another iPad to the one I wiped? (no, I don't have any usable, recent backups).

@ihf You could use Pythonista explorer in your correct iPad to:

        • edit
        • select a folder with your files (I don't know the tree of the files you want to get)
        • save to files into iCloud Drive
        • in Files App, move this folder from iCloud Drive to iCloud Drive/Pythonista 3
So this folder will be accessible in Pythonista it-self, iCloud part and from there you can copy or move to local Pythonista of your wiped iPad

@omz The steps above would be a useful addition to the Pythonista docs.

@ccc I'm sure we could start a FTP (or other) server on one iDevice and a client on the other iDevice and manage manual folders selection and process the transfer.

@ihf Just tried, you can also edit/select a Pythonista local folder in your correct iDevice and share it via Airdrop to your wiped iDevice...and store it on iCloud Drive there.

@cvp I liked your initial solution because it only requires standard iOS expertise and no special setup.

@ccc Thanks but I'm almost sure there is an easier way. Like AirDrop but in the target iDevice, Pythonista does not appear in the list of proposed apps accepting airdropped files.

@ihf You didn't say if one way has met your request?
