The problem is that Apple changed the API a bit for the file open dialog. Whereas before they allowed people to select folders with it they no longer do. OMZ will need to add the open folder dialog to the app as well for it to work properly. The author of Textastic is having to do the same thing and that app should be updated by the time iOS 13 is released. I doubt Pythonista will have the same luck.
I've only had two issues with Pythonista and they've both been caused by iOS 13. One was it not being able to access it's cloud folder. That was fixed in the latest iOS 4 public beta. The other issue is not being able to open and pin folders. This is because Apple depreciated the ability to open folders from the dialog used in Pythonista and they'll have to implement a different dialog for folder opening.
Both issues are a pain, to be sure, but that's what happens when you use beta software.
Will Pythonista be updated for some of iOS 11s new features, like the new file management dialog/app?
