I have been using Editorial for a while now and really like it, but one thing it does in particular is very annoying for Windows users - Editorial likes to produce documents using Unix-style newlines (\n) instead of Windows-style newlines (\r\n). Even worse, if I edit a document in Editorial it will convert the newlines to Unix style and so when I open the document in Windows some programs have problems with it.

What I would like to have is an option to default to Windows newlines and/or respect the newline convention of the document being edited. This would make it much easier for documents to be shared between Editorial and Windows programs.

I can use Windows programs to tweak the newline style but this gets annoying if you have to do it on a regular basis. Adding the feature above would help greatly.

I have also found that Editorial can add individual Unix-format lines in an otherwise Windows-format file, which will confuse many programs. I may need to stop using Editorial as a result.

A related issue with Dropbox synchronization is that if you view a file and do anything that makes Editorial think you are editing the file (such as set the cursor location), it will save a new version of the file and cause Dropbox conflicts. Is there any feature that would allow you to turn "editing mode" on and off so that this is less likely to happen?
